Nightfall Loans

Nightfall Loans

Midnight silence forebodes a shadowy blue
That distorts reality into fantasies of its own
And within a night, the petal blacks bled through
Like spots of supernatural undertones
Sable eyes under moonlit night peeped anew
To view a fabled valley to sadness-prone
But before twilight coffers had chance to accrue
A nightfall princess begged them for a loan
She bargained for powers to love pursue
And yet was deceived to hours ‘ever alone
She’d pay the price before sunset renews
And darkness, again, swallows its throne
